If you’ve lost one or more teeth due to decay, illness, or trauma, you may be convinced that your smile is gone too. The good news is, that doesn’t have to be the case. Dr. Brunnett and her team are proficient in implant restorations, giving you the durable, natural-looking smile you deserve.
We work closely with a number of trusted local oral surgeons and periodontists who will handle the placement of your implants. During placement, a small titanium post is inserted under the gums. Once the implant heals and fuses to your jaw, about three to four months after placement, you’ll return to our office.
During a two-step procedure, Dr. Brunnett will:
1.) Take an impression or iTero scan of the implant and send it out to our lab to have your crown prepared.
2.) Three weeks later, bring you in for a second appointment to cement the crown to the implant.
The combination of the implant and the crown will provide a strong, stable replacement for your missing tooth that both looks and feels natural. If you’re worried about how your smile will look while you’re waiting to have the restoration completed, we offer a number of options including temporary retainers, temporary partial dentures, or individual temporary crowns.
Strong. Secure. Natural-Looking.
Though the process takes some time, dental implants are a great way to restore your smile. Unlike dentures, which require special adhesives and still may slip or slide, implants remain secure. Once the crown is placed, you can enjoy all of your favorite foods and drinks in comfort, brush and floss normally — just like you do with natural teeth.
Talk to Dr. Brunnett to see if dental implants may be right for you. She will work with a trusted colleague on your treatment plan and even make the phone call to schedule your appointment. The crown is placed when you return to our office. We’ll do the work so all you have to do is smile.
